Today I had one of the hardest conversations a father can have. I finally sat down with my kids and explained why their mom and I are no longer together. This wasn’t about blaming anyone. This was about honesty, growth, and making sure my kids understand that sometimes adults make difficult decisions so their children can have a better future. Being a parent means protecting your kids even when the truth is uncomfortable. They’re still young right now, but one day they will understand this conversation on a much deeper level. When that day comes, I want them to know I always tried to do the right thing. No matter what happens between adults, the love for your children should never change.
