A short video of an Omega Spedmaster "First Omega in Space" in Sedna Gold with a 1861 manual winding chronograph caliber. Few bottles of italian wines like Barolo and Chianti from Ricasoli, Nervi, Roagna. The Omega Speedmaster FOiS in Sedna gold also uses the famous manual-wind Lemania based caliber 1861 movement. The Sedna gold case back bears the number of each individual piece and of course the Seahorse in bas relief. The watch is being delivered on a brown alligator strap and with a gold buckle. What’s interesting about the original FOIS and the Sedna Gold edition is that while the first tries very hard to replicate the features of Walter Schirra’s ref. 2998, the second takes a confident step into the opposite direction. But this isn’t Omega’s first crack at a gold panda dial Speedmaster. Japanese collectors might remember the legendary Golden Panda, a 40-piece limited edition of the Moonwatch in yellow gold with a traditional black-and-white panda dial that was released in 1997. Barolo : The process of cultivating and producing Barolo is restricted to an area of 11 villages within the province of Cuneo. Between each village’s produce, there are subtle differences in flavour due to their unique soil compositions. For example, Monforte d’Alba is famous for its silky smooth, fruity Barolo, whereas Castiglione Falletto’s wines are renowned for their powerful tannins. But regardless of the soil quality and the tasting notes, the process of aging the wine is usually the same. Once the wine is produced, each bottle is aged for 38 months (the wine must be kept in a barrel for a minimum of 18 of these months). From there, the wine is sold to consumers across the globe, many choosing to age the wine a further decade in order to tone-down its highly tannic taste.
