With my regular ride mate away in Armidale riding with the Ulysses Club, I decided it was time to revisit Jacques Rd in the Styx Valley … a loop we never finished thanks to a flat tyre on his DR650. This time it was just me and the Royal Enfield Himalayan taking on the route solo. Autumn’s setting in and the air’s getting cooler, but the ride was full of surprises, including a massive pile of felled trees and a little track mentioned by Geoff (Tassie Adventure Rider) and Darrel (Ride the Byroads) that just begs for a river crossing next time.
