The horns take the lead in the Pórtico de la Gloria, symbolizing its three arches – the Old Testament, the Apocalypse, and the Last Judgment. The Botafumeiro is depicted through an organ-like sound and the Apostle’s theme. The Puerta Santa represents the ceremonial opening of the Holy Door at the start of a Holy Year.
