The film soundtrack featured songs from artists such as Donovan, Dove and Mark Wike. Pierre Földes' score is the original, instrumental music he wrote specifically to accompany the film. I think his score is beautiful, haunting and perfect for the film. If you haven't seen the film, you may want to see it first before listening to Pierre's full music score. I was slightly traumatised the first time I watched L.I.E. I don't know why. It got completely under my skin and I ended up watching it 7 or 8 times in one week alone. It instantly became an all-time favourite film of mine and it joined a very short list of films that had truly affected me when I first saw them, including Picnic At Hanging Rock, The Deerhunter, Jacob's Ladder and The Changeling - no, not the Angelina Jolie one. L.I.E. stars a young Paul Dano as Howie Blitzer whose life is turned upside down after his mother dies. Brian Cox also gets a starring role as Big John. Both actors received awards for their roles. L.I.E. tackles some thorny issues but does it in an engrossing and non-repellent way.
