Lakes Entrance is a very popular all year round holiday destination, including during winter months when the climate is often a few degrees warmer than Melbourne. The main street has a good selection of shops, and restaurants - the accommodation options are mostly at the backend. Here tonight we had to drive out of town - to Reeve Landing which is approximately 10 minutes from the centre - to find this much-loved spot and came across this magnificent sunset. Reeve Landing is a small jetty located on Bullock Island and overlooks the main entrance of the waterway between the lakes and ocean. Due to the small size of this jetty, only 2 boats on average may be accommodated at any one time. There are works planned to improve this place (see the board in the video) to make it a much better planned out and much more user-friendly gathering spot. As a popular holiday town, it is busy during the holiday seasons and a place where families make many memories.
