THE CRISIS Director: Ugo Gregoretti and Carlo Bolli House of production: Unitelefilm Year: 1977 Abstract: An interview with Bruno Trentin, a secretary of the CGIL Confederation of Unions, dealing with the problem of youth unemployment in a synthetic but complete manner: 650.000 young people included in the special lists required by the law on "Jobs for Youth"; work and employment for professional training. The images which are intercut with the Trentin interview - the struggles of the League of the unemployed and at the University of Rome, the occupation of farmlands, the importance of the matters discussed in the interview. This documentary, because of its underlying structure, wishes to be a political tool for initiatives leading to the organization and mobilization of the young along with the workers.
