How to cut a SUP paddle ( stand up paddle board paddle)

To cut your paddle to size you will need a paddle handle, epoxy 2 part adhesive, scissors, black duct tape and a hacksaw with a sharp blade. To find your ideal height for the paddle which is approximately 6-8 inches above your head. to do this start by making a ‘Shaka" hand gesture with thumb on your head and little finger in the air. mark this on the paddle with a piece of tape to ensure the carbon does not splinter add extra tape where your are going to cut. Once the paddle is cut make sure the area are clean, Remove the excess tape and then mix your apoxy 2 part adhesive and spread evenly on the handle. Insert the handle into the shaft, make sure the handle is facing the correct way, (towards the blade). Next make sure the glue has dried and then add either the heat shrink that is supplied when buying a paddle, or black tape for a clean watertight finish.
