Live from World Hydrogen Week in Copenhagen, Sam Ernest from S&P Global Commodity Insights spoke with Iñigo Uriarte of Ingeteam about the critical role of power electronics in hydrogen production. The conversation explores why power electronics are essential for electrolyzers, the technical challenges in scaling hydrogen projects, and the launch of Ingeteam’s new INGECON® H2 Megalyzer rectifier. Iñigo also shares details on upcoming large-scale projects in the US, Canada, and Germany, and offers insights into the market outlook, expressing optimism for 2026 as the hydrogen industry moves toward greater efficiency, reliability, and safety. "I think most of us share a common feeling that this has been a tough year. Many projects have been cancelled or on stall waiting for subsidies, but I see it in a very optimistic way... two years ago we had 300 projects announced and we didn't know which which of these were going to become a reality because there was a lot of projects that didn't make sense and it was very difficult to find the right ones. Now, we had tough times, but I think the landscape has cleared out. Now there are less projects but the projects that are there have much more sense than the others. So we are more able to locate the right projects to focus our efforts on and and we don't waste energy in nonsense projects. So we are quite optimistic for next year." -- 📆 We'll be returning to Copenhagen in 2026 for World Hydrogen and Carbon Week - register your interest here: https://info.greenpowerglobal.com/whc...
