On March 16, 2009, 11-year-old Briony Anne Goodsell, her younger sister, 7-year-old Bethany Goodsell, and her friend, Naomi Lang, were playing at home, in Darwin’s rural outskirts. It was a Sunday, and the girls were enjoying some free time, despite the weather. March is a moody month in the Top End of the Northern Territory in Australia.
