Carsington Water & Matlock Bath Illuminations Vlog (so magical) Featuring Storm Amy!

Come along as we visit Carsington water and Matlock illuminations! Carsington water is a reservoir in Derbyshire! It has great walks, lots of activities for Children and has its own visitor centre which includes a cafe, a variety of shops and a restaurant. We start our visit with a brief look around the visitor centre and then make our way to the stone island! A great place with a variety of stones which gave a different view around the reservoir and also are carved for little ones to be able to see through the holes. We then start our walk on the dam trail, great views and we come across the pump tower also known as the draw off tower! This is where we decided to give up on our adventure as storm Amy decided to blow a gail and soak us all through! We head back to the visitors centre and nip into the cafe for three different types of burgers! 😆 Rate our food and see if you would enjoy the menu! We then head off home to get changed and get ready for Matlock illuminations! We head to Matlock and go straight to Wiffle Waffle for desert! It’s a great desert place and a big favourite in Matlock bath. Rate our food and see what you would fancy! After this we head down to the Matlock Derwent gardens where we are greeted by a children’s fun fair, bubbles being blown, stilt walkers performing, lights lit up everywhere and lots of stores selling sweets, alcoholic and food! We make our way around all the lights and purchases are made as Roy gets some sweets and a pick a mix! He also sneaks off to buy the brochure of the line of boats! We find our place a storm Amy decides to show up again and gives an almighty downpour of rain! It did not stop the proceedings and the boats began to light up! See which boat is you favourite! We loved the Dumbo and the Peacock! It’s all over So we head over the nicely lit bridge for some photos and head back to the car to end the vlog!
