This is part 1 of "Mari Torigoe - Season!" (VVM-9), a 1984 VHD disc featuring the Japanese idol Mari Torigoe! Mari Torigoe is a singer, actress, TV show host, and, of course, idol. Her career began in 1983 when the 18-year-old Mari joined a modeling agency through which she became the Japan Airlines "JAL Okinawa Campaign Girl" where she quickly became popular with male university and high school students. She then gained widespread recognition after regular appearances on the popular late night "All Night Fuji" TV show. With her rising stardom, she started to appear in movies and TV shows throughout the 1980's and 1990's until quickly retiring from the public eye after starting a family in 1999. In 1984, Mari released her one and only music album, Season! In this film, we'll get to spend time with Mari on her day off as she explores the city, dresses up, goes to the gym, flies to Okinawa, and, finally, we're treated to an intimate concert at the Shinjuku Ruido...all while treated to tunes from her album!
