In this video, we will be discussing the pre-operative assessment of patients with Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV) with Transposition of the Great Arteries (DTGA), Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), and Pulmonary Stenosis (PS) and the appropriate options for surgical intervention. DORV with DTGA, VSD, and PS is a rare but complex congenital heart defect that requires a multidisciplinary approach for the assessment and management. We will discuss the importance of a thorough pre-operative assessment, including a detailed history, physical examination, and diagnostic imaging studies to fully understand the anatomy and physiology of the heart defect. We will also explain the various surgical options that are available for DORV with DTGA, VSD, and PS and the indications for each option. This will include both traditional surgical options and newer, less invasive techniques such as Hybrid procedures. We will also discuss the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration, involving pediatric cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and anesthesiologists in the pre-operative assessment and management of these patients. Furthermore, the video will touch on the importance of postoperative care and long-term follow-up for these patients. This video is an essential resource for healthcare professionals, particularly those involved in congenital cardiac surgery, to understand the pre-operative assessment, management and the surgical options for DORV with DTGA, VSD, and PS.
