Defence seeks to expel Rev. Jesse Jackson at trial for Ahmaud Arbery killing, admonished by judge

Kevin Gough, the defence attorney for one of the three men charged in the death of Ahmaud Arbery, sought to have Rev. Jesse Jackson expelled from the courtroom during the trial on Monday, on the grounds it could prejudice the jury. “At this point, I’m not exactly sure what you’re doing,” Judge Timothy Walmsley said in response to the motion.” Walmsley also admonished Gough for comments made last week, which the judge called “reprehensible.” Last week, Gough sought to have Rev. Al Sharpton removed from court. While delivering his motion, he made the comment “we don’t want any more Black pastors coming in here.” “If a bunch of folks came in here dressed like Colonel Sanders with white masks sitting in the back, I mean, that would be…,” he continued before being cut off by Judge Walmsley.
