The green daffodil, Narcissus viridiflorus: a rare daffodil species with a very unusual fragrance

Narcissus viridiflorus, the green daffodil, is the rarest daffodil I own, and is a very unusual daffodil for several features: blooms in autumn and not in spring, as most other Narcissus do, the flowers are extremely small, is more fragrant during the night and it is the only daffodil to bloom in entirely green flowers. This species is native to Spain and Morocco and needs very well drained soil, unfortunately it is not hardy in the UK, I am cultivating it on a South facing windowsill, getting full sun from Midday until sunset, and due to the fact that this year's bloom are the result of the adequate cultivation last year at the seller's nursery, I hope that these bulbs will bloom as beautifully next year after being in my care. The fragrance of this daffodil is very peculiar and very different from any other I have, it smells like a very delicate soap or detergent, but with defined notes of linden tree (Tilia) scent, one of the most distinctive fragrances among my plants.
