Episode 2 The Consequence of Sin - Judgement

In this episode, we examine how judgment is the necessary and righteous consequence of sin. Because God is holy and just, sin cannot go unanswered. From Romans 2:1–11, we see that all people—Jew and Gentile alike—stand accountable before God. Hypocrisy does not excuse us, and God’s patience is meant to lead us to repentance, not to be taken for granted. Stubborn and unrepentant hearts store up wrath for the day of judgment. We also explore how judgment is both future and present. While there is a coming Judgment Day when Christ will return as Judge (2 Thessalonians 1:5–10), there is also an ongoing judgment now (John 3:18–21; Romans 1:18–32), as those who reject Christ remain in condemnation and are “given over” to their sin. Ultimately, sin leads either to eternal separation from God or eternal life in His presence. For believers, Judgment Day will mean glory with Christ. For unbelievers, it will mean eternal separation from the presence of God. This episode is a sober reminder that SIN HAS CONSEQUENCES, but also that God’s patience today is an invitation to repentance and faith in Christ.
