'That's Me': Key Witness in Young Dolph's Murder Identifies Self in Videos

Jurors in Young Dolph's murder trial in Shelby County Circuit Court in Memphis, Tennessee, heard testimony today (Monday, August 18, day 1) from one of two men who accosted the rapper inside a cookie shop in Memphis nearly five years ago. Cornelius Smith identified himself in surveillance video of the shooting. Prosecutors say the man on trial, Hernandez Govan, masterminded rapper Young Dolph's November 2021 fatal shooting inside Makeda’s Homemade Cookies in Memphis. A separate jury convicted triggerman Justin Johnson last year, and he was sentenced to life in prison plus 35 years.
