I light each lamp not just for celebration, but for connection — to them, to nature, to the roots that made me who I am. Most people have moved to the cities in search of comfort, opportunities, and material things. But here, in the stillness of the mountains, I find what the cities can never offer — freedom. Freedom to breathe. Freedom to feel. Freedom to be real. Sometimes peace can be unsettling because it strips away all distractions — but it also shows you what truly matters. Life is not about collecting things, it’s about returning to yourself. This Diwali, I light my lamps for simplicity, gratitude, and presence. For the earth beneath my feet, the wind on my face, and the mountains that remind me — the real life is here, where the heart still breathes free.
