In this instructional video, we guide you through the process of the commissioning sequence for a Baldwin Boxall OmniCare EVC system. This step-by-step tutorial ensures your system is set up correctly for optimal performance and safety. Before You Begin: Cable Integrity Test: Ensure you have performed a full loop cable integrity test. Remote Connections: Verify that all remotes are correctly connected. Tools Required: Control Panel Key and a Posidrive Screwdriver. Commissioning Procedure: Initial Power-Up: On powering up the system for the first time, or after adding/removing/replacing remotes, the fault buzzer will sound. Press the fault accept button on the front panel to silence the buzzer. Remove the screws from the front of the control panel. Starting the Commissioning: Keep the handset on-hook and depress the speak button. Press and release the internal reset button while holding the speak button. Wait for the yellow LED by button 1 to begin flashing, then silence the fault buzzer. System Check: The master console sends a code around the system, with the yellow LED flashing for approximately 40 seconds. Red zone LEDs will illuminate sequentially, indicating the progress of power and commissioning code distribution. If the total number of illuminated red LEDs matches the number of remotes, there are no wiring faults. Final Steps: The yellow LED at button 1 will extinguish. Lift and replace the handset to finalize the commissioning process, indicated by flashing LEDs at button positions 4, 5, 12, and 13 for about 2 seconds. Disconnect the mains power for at least 10 seconds before connecting the batteries. Reconnect the mains power and press the reset button to clear the processor restart LED. The green system OK LED will illuminate, indicating the system is ready for functionality testing. For more detailed instructions and additional resources, refer to our separate instructional videos.
