Introducing our new study (2022-2024): "How can we involve people with learning disabilities in end-of-life care planning?" This study is named after Victoria Willson (1970 – 2013) and Stuart Hasler (1978 – 2020) who both had learning disabilities. Each were able, with the support of their families, friends and a team of professionals and services, to live fully until the end of their lives and die in the way they wanted – their own way. We want to help everyone with learning disabilities to do the same. This study is led by Prof Irene Tuffrey-Wijne & Dr Becky Anderson at Kingston University. The following organisations are part of the team: The Open University, MacIntyre, Dimensions, Voluntary Organisations Disability Group (VODG) and The Mary Stevens Hospice. Funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR202963)
