How many times have you finished painting a color wheel or mixing grid, only to find yourself wondering how you are going to apply those gazillion colors to an actual painting? I'm here to simplify and to teach you the color mixing in a super actionable way — by focusing on the most essential color mixtures you'll actually need, and exactly where to apply them in your painting subjects. I’ll also show you how to create variations by dialing certain colors up or down, and how to develop your own unique palette by swapping out the key colors. This video breaks down the four primary color categories in landscape painting: blues, greys, greens, and warm tones. Some, like greys, are highly nuanced and ubiquitous—so I’ll share tips on how to start simple, then add more dimensions to the mixture as you grow comfortable. Other colors, like greens, can be created in several different ways. I’ll show you two methods—one built from scratch and another starting from pre-mixed green paint, so you can make the most of what you already own. -- Download the charts: 👉 https://www.inaxiwatercolor.com/pages... -- Make sure to watch my course on Paint Consistency so you are not confusing color darkness with mixture thickness: 👉 • The single most important skill of a water... -- Special thanks to M. Graham & Co. for supplying me the watercolor paint to try out in this video. My initial assessment overall is a positive, specifically: ✅ More pigment concentrated - little goes a long way, color holds intensity even at tea consistency ✅ Does not solidify fully due to honey ingredient, great for going between thin /thick mixtures quickly and freely, and mixing large amount of paint ⛔️ Burnt Sienna color is not as transparent as Winsor & Newton ⛔️ Does not have some specialty colors that are essential to me, e.g. Cobalt Turquoise Light, Indigo, Lavender Learn more about their brand and products here: https://mgraham.com/artists-colors/wa...
