This talk with Andy Hockley looks at what we mean by the idea of engagement (as it applies to teachers and other staff), how it connects to motivation, and what kinds of things we can do as academic managers to enhance engagement. Drawing from recent research and literature regarding these concepts and how organisational culture can create the conditions for a more engaged staffroom, we will look at the different conditions necessary to fully engage the organisation’s staff.
