Robert R. Everett SM ’43 Lincoln Laboratory and Project Whirlwind President, The MITRE Corporation 1969–1986 Robert Everett was a major player in the pioneering efforts to develop hydraulic servomechanisms for shipboard radar, electronic digital computers, and air defense systems at MIT and Lincoln Laboratory before his involvement in the founding of The MITRE Corporation. As president of MITRE from 1969 to 1986, Mr. Everett was intimately involved in some of the most high-profile defense projects developed there and he continues to contribute as a senior scientist on the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board.
