The singer gleans the best out of a variety of cultures and moves forward without breaking a stride, proud of the musical blend that his work celebrates. Absorbing ideas from the Dominican and Salvadorian communities of his childhood neighborhood, and mixing them with his own family's Trinidadian roots, he truly has several bases covered. "My music is about trying to bridge the gap between different cultures," he has said. "I really want to push the Caribbean sound to the world, but I want to make it something different." You can hear it on his biggest track so far, "Mimosas," from his 2019 'Flavors' album. Dreamy yet groovin', it gives the singer a chance to ride a seductive beat while touting the pleasures of enjoying a sip or two - no wonder why he's earned shout-outs from everyone from Sech to J Balvin.
