At the time, I thought I was gonna finish this project in a couple of months and I was completely unaware of what it would turn into. What ended up happening was that I kept finding more and more interesting things to talk about as I replayed the mod and the rabbit hole just kept getting deeper and deeper. I just kept adding pages to my script and upon recording the voice over I was surprised how long it was. So, here we are 9 months later and after a lot of work, it is finally finished. In this review/analysis video, I talk about what I love about Phobos and I draw parallels with Doom 3, the OG Doom games, but also other games outside the Doom universe. I talk about the mod’s influences, the way the story is presented, the gameplay, including weapons & enemies, the puzzles, the easter eggs, the funny details and more. To complement my ramblings, I have interviewed the developers of Phobos, Team Future.
