On March 25th 2024, Axel Schmidt, the Emergency Response Coordinator for ASB (Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Deutschland) planned a standard zoom call with his colleague Paul Agunda the ASB Country Director for Niger. Paul immediately began to share the positive impact the recent People First Impact Method (P-FIM) training was having on ASB staff and the ASB programme. Given the clarity of the explanations and insights, Axel suggested they should record their conversation to share with other ASB programmes and other agencies who may be interested. Welcome to the short video of the conversation between Paul and Axel. Get inspired! The P-FIM starting point is the experience, knowledge, and action of people. In a trust relationship inter-agency teams listen to community groups without agency, sector, or project bias. The results are compelling and present a significant challenge and opportunity for the humanitarian, development, and peace building sectors. P-FIM delivers important, surprising, and insightful findings on where people are at and the value people are creating for themselves – their starting point. It is powerful and transformative for everyone involved and has significant global implications.
