HH Arrives in the UK for High-Level Talks with King Charles

President Hakainde Hichilema has arrived in the United Kingdom for a three-day working visit, following an invitation from King Charles. Accompanied by First Lady Mutinta Hichilema, the President landed in Glasgow, Scotland this afternoon. He expressed optimism about deepening and strengthening the longstanding ties between Zambia and the UK, ahead of his scheduled audience with King Charles. In a message posted on his Facebook page, and monitored by ZNBC News, President Hichilema stated that the meeting is expected to foster greater cooperation and mutual prosperity between the two nations. During the visit, the President will also attend an investment-focused forum, bringing together business leaders and policy stakeholders to explore deeper economic collaborations. Additionally, he will hold a series of meetings with UK government officials in London to discuss trade, development, and strategic partnerships. President Hichilema emphasized that these engagements are part of the government’s broader mission to unlock investment flows and transform Zambia into a competitive economy.
