Beautiful morning with blue sky! I woke up late again, around 7:30am. I think I slept so "long", because the sleep was not so good that night. My tent was "on a slope", not much, but enough to ruin the deep sleep. But what can you do, there was nothing "flat" around Emstrur. And it is very hard to notice a "little slope" when setting up a tent (at least for me). If you have any tips, let me know in the comments below 😁 Same than on day 1 and 2 at no time the trail was technically difficult. Despite being a long hike (18km) this felt like the easiest day. I encountered one tour group in the morning, just waited, let them overtake me. Then I never saw that group again. Easy like that. There was 1 river crossing at the end of the day, around 3km before the "volcano huts" campsite where I stayed. This was the first one "fast flowing". It makes a big difference, because you have to work more against the current and the energy of the water. I would say that you are "ok" to handle it up to "knee deep". If the water gets deeper and is fast flowing, there is a tipping point when you can't hold yourself anymore. So please be careful!
