HOW TO TRAVEL CENTRAL ASIA (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan)? VISA INFORMATION

In this video, we have shared the latest VISA information for Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan) along with pro-tips on how to get the Kyrgyzstan Transit Visa which sometimes takes long to get approved. Our Central Asia Playlist:    • Central Asia - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan...   Kazakhstan (Visa free as of 2024 for Indian Citizens for 14 days): Visa regime of the Republic of Kazakhstan for foreign citizens: https://www.gov.kz/memleket/entities/...| Kyrgyzstan: Apply for the transit e-visa or tourist e-visa here: https://evisa.e-gov.kg/ Uzbekistan: Apply for the tourist e-visa here(single or double entry): https://e-visa.gov.uz/main Tajikistan: Apply for the tourist e-visa here: https://www.evisa.tj/index.evisa.html Welcome back to our channel, we have completed our Central Asia trip covering Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. In today’s video, we are sharing with you the visa information for each of these countries. Let’s start with our itinerary and then break the video down to each country’s visa information. We landed in Almaty, Kazakhstan first and spent some days in Kazakhstan. Then we took a bus and went to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, crossing the land border between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. After spending some days in Kyrgyzstan, we took a long overnight bus from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Tashkent, Uzbekistan. From Tashkent, after spending time here, we went by Yandex taxi to Khujand, Tajikistan, crossing the land border again. From Khujand, we took another taxi after a few days, to Samarkand, Uzbekistan. We crossed the Panjakent land border in this case, and we entered Uzbekistan for the second time. From Samarkand, we took a train to Tashkent again and finally flew out of Uzbekistan back home. Let us know in the comment section if you want to see a video from us about the budget for this trip and if you want us to help you plan your trip. Now, first let’s come to Kazakhstan. For Indian citizens, Kazakhstan is visa free for 14 days for tourism. So we landed in Almaty, Kazakhstan without any visa and all the airline staff are aware of this rule. So you can reach Kazakhstan without any sort of visa, just book your ticket and go there. Keep in mind that the duration of stay in Kazakhstan has to be less than 14 days. Next, let’s come to Kyrgyzstan where things get a little tricky. The link to apply for the e-visa is in the description box. There are two categories of E-Visa which you, as an Indian tourist can apply here for Kyrgyzstan. One is the standard tourist visa, with a longer validity of around 1 month and there is the cheaper transit visa option which is valid for 5 days. We took the transit visa option as we spent 5 days only in Kyrgyzstan, and this came with an advantage too. If you have to apply for the tourist visa for Kyrgyzstan which has a longer validity, you will have to upload a letter from an authorised travel agent in Kyrgyzstan and that can easily become very expensive. So take this tourist visa only if you want to spend more than 5 days here. If like us, you are spending less than 5 days in Kyrgyzstan, our recommendation is to apply for the transit visa. The transit visa costs only US $ 25 and you do not need to upload any travel agent’s letter in this case. We used the transit visa as well to cross land borders in Kyrgyzstan. We entered Kyrgyzstan from Kazakhstan by land and also left Kyrgyzstan by land border in a bus. But there is trick to keep in mind while applying for the transit visa. The visa portal asks for flight tickets in and out of Kyrgyzstan. If you don’t submit a flight ticket, the portal will return the visa application, asking you to correct the application by attaching flight ticket copy. We submitted dummy flight tickets into Bishkek and then out of Bishkek as well. Once we made this submission, we received the transit visa. Do not worry, this is just their system’s behaviour. In reality, you can easily cross land borders with transit visa. There is a lot of wrong information online saying with a transit visa you cannot cross land borders, but have a look at our vlogs - it was so easy for us. This transit visa takes almost 4 weeks to come. Let’s come next to Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan E-Visa is extremely easy and you get it in just one day. You can get a single entry or a double entry e-visa based on your itinerary. We took the double entry e-visa of Uzbekistan for around US $ 36. While exiting from Uzbekistan, the immigration officers sometimes asks for your hotel registration document. Make sure you collect this during check out from your hotel. It is mandatory for all hotels to register you. Finally, let us come to the Tajikistan E-Visa. You just need your passport to apply for this visa. It costs around US $ 25 and you get it in just 1 day.
