The latest project from Bop, Oak and Jalex aka Microfunk Crew is "Parts & Sequences" - an inspired concept, involving the collection of more than 30 samples from members of microfunk.ru site and the composition of six tunes which were then performed live and filmed. "Everyone was able to send to us one sample and then from all this material we wanted to make a tune. After some attempts and because of the extraordinary variety of the samples we changed the concept of the project a little. We decided to produce more tunes, then play it live and make a video of it. So, we took our sampler with chopped one-shots, drum synthesizer, laptop + some other devices and had fun with it." "We got around 30 samples. The samples was taken and collated in December 2010. So it has taken around six months to make 6 tunes, as well as do the live performance and do the video in my previous rented apartment."
