In order to be eligible for the eToro Popular Investor Program, you have to fulfil certain conditions before applying. Some of these are about details in your public profile - your real name, picture and a bio about yourself. Your account needs to be verified, which requires proof of identity as well as address to be sent in to eToro... There are requirements for the minimum amount of money you need to have in your own trading account, as well as having at least 1 verified copier, and you're also bound by the 'responsible trading' guidelines. These guidelines are there to try to ensure that Popular Investors don't do extremely risky things. Basically, it's no good for eToro if the traders who are bing copied are being reckless and losing people's money in stupid ways. That wouldn't look good for eToro, so they've put down some very basic guidelines to try to ensure that this doesn't happen. It still does happen. Quite a lot really, so be very careful, but eToro do bind you as a PI to their 'low-risk' rules. I go over some aspects of the 'responsible trading' guidelines and show you a couple of resources from eToro which should help to explain in a practical way, how to keep your risk scores lower on the site. I also show how you can apply to be classed as a professional trader and therefore be allowed to use more leverage whilst trading as a popular investor... Once I've gone over the basic requirements for getting onto the popular investor program, I then highlight some of the factors which are different from one level to another within the program itself.
