I build a router table that has an horizontal-axis, a project that turned out to be more complicated than I expected. The hardest part was getting the insert plate to stay firmly in place and not move in relation to the tabletop. I also managed to get the insert plate perfectly at 90 degrees to the tabletop, and therefore the router bit shaft is parallel to the plywood board.
