This is a shooting review of the Rossi 92 chambered in 454 Casull. I picked this up mainly to shoot 45 Colt without worrying about the pressure of the ammunition--like I need to with the much weaker action of my Uberti 1873. I wanted to check out several things I had heard about the rifle. First, some people online claimed that the safety would engage by itself which I never experienced. Second, some people online claimed that the 45 Colt would not cycle through the rifle. The only type of 45 Colt that didn't cycle were Magtech wadcutters that were significantly shorter than normal 45 Colt rounds. As such, I wouldn't blame the inability to cycle a niche round on the rifle or make more general statements about the gun. Third, the Marble sight is seemingly well thought of but be aware that the heaviest recoiling ammo can consistently knock the sight out of alignment.
