In this video, I wanted to just compare a couple TV Titans in the retro gaming world of Flat CRT televisions: The Sony FD Trinitron Wega and the Panasonic Tau. The Tau line is Panasonic’s answer to the cutting edge flat CRT TV tech that Sony pioneered in the 90s. To my understanding, I don’t think Sony innovated flat CRT tech, but they definitely made it popular in the late 90s and to the mid 2000s, making the “SPC Silver Plastic Crap” trend take off. I personally love both and thought it would be fun to compare them side by side: The 20” CT20SL14KJ and the 27” KV27FV310. Personally, I give the edge to the FV310, but I do give great respect to the Tau. Taus are awesome. I love Panasonic tubes. I’ll go over some key reasons why in the video. I take both through composite, S-Video, and Component motions to showcase several of my favorite games and systems. I use the HD Retrovision Cable for all component input gaming, primarily the SNES, the Sega Genesis, and the PS 1 and 2. I definitely prefer RGB, but if the tube is strong and the picture is nice and sharp, composite can look awesome as well. Hope you enjoy. #crtgaming #retrogaming #trinitron
