Poba Rain Forest Vlog

Poba Rain Forest is spread across the state of Assam as well as Arunachal Pradesh which is being declared as a reserved forest from the British Rule period since 1924. In 1924, this forest was considered as a reserve forest, which is defined as "an area notified under the provisions of the Indian Forest Act or other State Forest Acts, having full degree of protection". It falls in the Jonai Sub-Division of Dhemaji District of Assam in India. The main feature of a rain forest is that Round the year the rain forest is remains green. Poba Rain forest serves as a Corridor to many wild animals from the Dibru Saikhowa National park in the Tinsukia district of Assam and Daying Ering wildlife sanctuary in Arunachal Pradesh. Within the half decade between 2005 and 2010, approximately one-third of the semi-evergreen dense forest was either degraded or converted for other land uses. Increases in population, deforestation, illegal tree cutting, rapid erosion, flash flooding, etc., are major threats to the sustainability of this natural forest Rainforests also help maintain the world’s water cycle. More than 50% of precipitation striking a rain forest, is returned to the atmosphere by evapotranspiration, helping regulate healthy rainfall around the planet. Like the name suggests, rain forest ecosystems are full of trees and receive huge amounts of rain. Despite covering just 6 percent of Earth’s surface, more than half the world’s plant and animal species live in the rainforests.
