The Inaccessible Pinnacle (or In Pinn) located on the Black Cuillin ridge on the Isle of Skye, is the most technically challenging of the 282 Scottish Munros. At 986M high, The Pinnacle (An Stac in Gaelic) sits atop the mountain of Sgùrr Dearg which lies on the main Cuillin ridge at the junction of Coire Lagan, Coire na Banachdich and Coir'-uisg. It is the second highest peak in the Cuillin, and faces the highest, Sgùrr Alasdair, across Coire Lagan. With the help of our guide Sarah, we climbed the East Ridge which is a moderate standard rock climb of 65m - 70m. As you can see in the video, this becomes a different proposition in adverse weather... The ridge is narrow and exceptionally exposed having been previously described as "a knife-edged ridge, with an overhanging and infinite drop on one side, and a drop on the other side, even steeper and longer..."
