Ms. Fahmida talks about stigma against people suffering from AIDS in Pakistan and how this has lead to more stress, depression and marginalization than the disease itself. She elaborates upon how transgenders are more vulnerable. Ms. Fahmida is currently working as the Community Mobilization and Networking Advisor with the UNAIDS Country Office for Pakistan and Afghanistan. Her work spans over a variety of actors, from the wider public to governments, to shed light on HIV. Additionally, she is a strong advocate for human rights and a voice against violence faced by women and girls.
