This show is very early and very unique, and hearing it in this good quality is a treat. It's generally brighter and warmer now and less distorted in parts. Very intense version of "Bat Out Of Hell", and a unique arrangement of "More Than You Deserve". Earliest live recordings that exist for every song here, very special and significant recording, you can just barely here the end of the radio broadcast, with the announcer beginning to speak at the end, on all promo vinyls (titled "Meat Loaf Captures The World"), it fades out just as she begins to talk, but it confirms it's definitely from radio as previously suspected. It's worth noting that "Gods Instrumental" and "The Blood", have no official names, hence they are quoted (from me). Gods is the name of a Jim Steinman and Barry Keating song, first appearing in 1973, the instrumental that opens this show is entirely an instrumental version of the song, but it was later discovered to bear resemblance to Ravel's "Bolero" in parts, so later bootleg releases would call the track "Bolero" or "Great Boleros of Fire", in actuality it's just an instrumental of the Steinman-Keating "Gods", not to be confused with "Godz", a medley from 1973 by Jim Steinman and Barry Keating, which is also the name of the 2016 Meat Loaf version of the song "Gods", how confusing. "The Blood" is a fun little gag done before "All Revved Up" on a few shows in 1977 and 1978. With all that out of the way, enjoy the first of many shows! Original promo cover.
