On “My Car Story” we're in Rosemont IL at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals on 11-22-24. We're looking at a 1964 Dodge Polara 500 in Red Paint. The car comes with the Ramcharger 426 CI V8 Stage III Max Wedge engine and an automatic transmission. The car's Owner is Al MacDonald. Al’s had this car since 2022. N 1964 Dodge built 153 Max Wedge Factory Drag Cars. This Polara is 1 of 5 built. Early in 1963, Chrysler developed the TriY cast iron exhaust manifold for the Max Wedge to race in NASCA. This exhaust manifold consisted of a square tube, equal length runner manifold that pairs the primary tuber – 4 into 2 into 1. This formation increases cylinder scavenging and improves engine breathing. This car sounds great when you start it up.
