Earlier, social history was limited to the discussion of kings and maharajas, aristocrats and upper castes. But now the discussion of the common, lower class and marginalized people of the society has also become important. As a result, social history has become known as the 'new social history'. The 1960s and 70s saw the beginning of a new social history. From this time on, the history of those people began to be studied from the point of view of the lower classes of the society. The discussion of the new social history tries to look from the bottom up instead of looking from the top down. Attempts are made to look at society not from the point of view of a handful of upper class people, but on the basis of the role of ordinary and lower class people in the wider field of society. In the new social history, the general, lower and marginal people are considered more important than the handful of upper classes. The contribution of this larger population to socio-culture is seriously discussed in the new social history. Historical E.H. From this time various historians popularized the new social history. নতুন সামাজিক ইতিহাস : ইতিহাসের আলোচনায় একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ দিক হল সামাজিক ইতিহাস । আগে সামাজিক ইতিহাস শুধু রাজা-মহারাজা, অভিজাতবর্ণ ও উচ্চবর্ণের আলোচনার মধ্যে সীমাবদ্ধ ছিল । কিন্তু বর্তমানে সমাজের সাধারণ, নিম্নবর্গ ও প্রান্তিক মানুষের আলোচনাও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হয়ে উঠেছে । ফলে সামাজিক ইতিহাস 'নতুন সামাজিক ইতিহাস' রূপে পরিচিত হয়েছে । ১৯৬০-৭০ -এর দশকে নতুন সামাজিক ইতিহাসের আলোচনার সূত্রপাত ঘটে । এই সময় থেকে সমাজের নিম্নবর্গের মানুষের দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি থেকে সেসব মানুষের ইতিহাস চর্চা শুরু হয় । নতুন সামাজিক ইতিহাসের আলোচনায় ওপর থেকে নীচের দিকে দেখার পরিবর্তে নীচে থেকে ওপরের দিকে দেখার চেষ্টা করা হয় । সমাজের মুষ্টিমেয় উচ্চবর্গের মানুষের দৃষ্টিকোণ থেকে নয়, বরং সমাজের বৃহত্তর ক্ষেত্রে সাধারণ ও নিম্নবর্গের মানুষের ভূমিকার ভিত্তিতে সমাজকে দেখার চেষ্টা করা হয় । নতুন সামাজিক ইতিহাসে মুষ্টিমেয় উচ্চবর্গ অপেক্ষা বৃহত্তর সাধারণ, নিম্নবর্গের ও প্রান্তিক মানুষকে বেশি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বলে মনে করা হয় । সমাজ-সংস্কৃতির ক্ষেত্রে এই বৃহত্তর জনগোষ্ঠীর অবদান নতুন সামাজিক ইতিহাসে গুরুত্বের সঙ্গে আলোচনা করা হয় । ঐতিহাসিক ই.এইচ. কারের মতে ইতিহাস রচনার ক্ষেত্রে কোনো একমাত্রিক সর্বসম্মত পদ্ধতি হয় না, ইতিহাসের কেন্দ্রীয় বিষয় হল মানুষ এবং তার কাজকর্ম । মানুষের ক্রিয়াকলাপের সাথে যুক্ত হয় তার ইচ্ছা, আবেগ, সচেতনতা ইত্যাদি বিষয়গুলি । এই সামগ্রিকতার কোনো নির্দিষ্ট রূপ হয় না । যে-কোনো সমাজে বিত্তবান মানুষও যেমন বাস করে, তেমনিই অত্যন্ত গরিব মানুষও বাস করে, যাদের প্রতিদিনের খাদ্যের সংস্থান নিশ্চিত নয় । উচ্চশিক্ষিত মানুষের সহাবস্থান ঘটে নিরক্ষর মানুষের সঙ্গে । সমাজব্যবস্থার সঙ্গে অর্থনীতির একটা ঘনিষ্ঠ যোগ আছে । আজকের ইতিহাসচর্চায় মানুষের আর্থসামাজিক জীবন বিশ্লেষণ করার প্রবণতা বেড়েছে । বিংশ শতকে নতুন সামাজিক ইতিহাস রচনায় সমাজের নিম্নবর্গের সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ সাধারণ, দরিদ্র, প্রান্তিক জনগোষ্ঠীর আলোচনা প্রাধান্য পায় । এই সময় থেকে বিভিন্ন ঐতিহাসিক নতুন সামাজিক ইতিহাসকে জনপ্রিয় করে তোলেন । ******************************************************************************************************** 💥💥 Subscribe to our Channel- https://bit.ly/2yDhUUf 💥💥 Class X Geography Playlist - https://bit.ly/2NXKzI6 💥💥 Class X History Playlist - https://bit.ly/3iBWhGC ******************************************************************************************************** Connect with us: ► YouTube:    / @tutoric_learning_academy   ► Facebook:   / thetutoric   ► Telegram: https://t.me/Tutoric_TheExplorer ******************************************************************************************************** #tutoric #wbbsehistory #class10history
