Police investigate deadly shooting near Downtown Las Vegas

Police are on the scene of a deadly shooting near downtown Las Vegas after shots were heard outside a motel late Wednesday night. Officers were on patrol around 10:50 p.m. when they heard gunfire in the area of Fremont Street and Eastern Avenue, said Lt. Steven Riback with Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. They found a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and she was rushed to the hospital. She later died from her injuries.
