On January 6, during the early morning hours, an argument took place near Uma’s residence. Uma was lured to the terrace, where the accused allegedly covered the face with a towel and slit the throat using a knife, leading to death on the spot. The body was discovered after neighbors noticed unusual disturbance caused by cats on the terrace. Chittawadagi Police were informed immediately and a case was registered. Using call records and mobile tower location tracking, the accused was arrested within four hours of filing the FIR. Preliminary investigation suggests that the murder was driven by personal issues, toxic jealousy, and suspicion, and not by any religious or communal factors.
