INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 11.25.24 | 1:46 PM LOCATION: Artesia Blvd just west of Gilbert Street AREA/CITY: Fullerton DETAILS: A single-engine plane has gone down just short of the Fullerton airport, trapping two souls on board Fullerton police and fire officials were dispatched to a plane crash shortly after 1:45 PM Arriving, units located a plane upright that crashed into a tree, striking a fire hydrant in the process Two trauma patients were confirmed trapped inside the aircraft and had to be cut out of the wreckage Firefighters were able to quickly extricate the occupants within 15 minutes of arrival and transport both to the UCI trauma center, where their conditions are not currently known. The tail number is N9245V, a 1969 Mooney M20F 4 seater. The aircraft appeared to have just taken off when it immediately circled back to attempt a landing at the airport.
