I’ve featured another Worlds end rum just recently. This Dark Spiced was actually the first Rum they produced. Worlds End are a Belgian based Rum Brand. And the name Worlds End comes from famous Explorer Nathaniel Winter who when traveling to Sagres in Portugal, looked out to sea and all’s he could see was Ocean, therefore exclaiming it’s the End of the World. The base Rums in Dark Spiced Rum are from Trinidad and Barbados. I don’t know what spices are used to flavour up the Rum, however on the nose, after the initial Brandy Notes that come through, I get Fruit Cake, Clove and Nutmeg. However on the Taste, it’s very evident it’s a tasty Rum. Hints of Tropical Fruit and subtle Vanilla, Mango, Banana & Cinnamon. On the finish, a delayed a finish, I get Chocolate and Coffee. Really tasty. As far as mixing it goes, it really does work well with all mixers. From Coke and Ginger Beer, to the fruitier Mixers. Lixir Blood Orange Tonic, Fentimans Tropical Soda, Fever Tree Spiced Orange Ginger Ale. All Tasty.
