Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad - Little Engines in Big Country (4K60)

On August 28th and 29th, 2023, in conjunction with the National Narrow Gauge Convention being in Denver, the Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad organized a photo charter out of Antonito, Colorado using two steam locomotives. On the first day, we will see 140-year-old Denver & Rio Grande 4-6-0 number 168 pulling a historic passenger consist from Antonito to Big Horn and return, with several photo runbys along the way. On the second day, we will see 128-year-old Denver & Rio Grande Western 2-8-0 number 315 on a freight train from Antonito to Osier and return, with a few runbys along the way as well as a meet at Big Horn with train 215, pulled by K-27 class 2-8-2 number 463. Enjoy the sights and sounds of these little old engines as they run through the big, beautiful country along the Colorado and New Mexico border, and get a glimpse of what had been many years ago. Note: Apologies for the "shaky cam" footage while on board the train. It's tough to keep a camera steady in those conditions.
