Cascades Trail - Lake Mountain

This is snippets from most sections of the 29km Cascades Trail that starts at the top of Lake Mountain and leads all the way down into the town of Marysville. It is a beautiful and pictureseque ride with many varied tracks along the way from single line tech up and down to some open flow and some very hairy steep tracks with lots of drop berms. It is listed as blue intermediate but there are many advanced sections that will catch some out. It requires some decent amount of MTB experience. This was my first time riding the trail with Dave as my guide seeing as he has done it a few times before. This is March in Australia and the end of the very dry summer so it was very dusty and loose in places. A fantastic track and a great challenge with the feeling of accomplishment when you exit the track onto the road and ride straight into town.
