This comparison was a no brainer for us, and for many of you-- since the inclusion of the American Dream series in Taylor's lineup, we've wanted to compare it to the relatively-new 317e, which is another great Grand Pacific body style guitar. Both of these guitars are American made round-shoulder dreadnoughts with V-Class bracing; however, their wood pairings and adornments differ slightly. The AD17 utilizes a spruce and ovangkol pairing, while the 317e uses spruce and sapele.
