The laptop showed extremely unusual behavior: BIOS clock was frozen System time constantly reset in OS The laptop would not boot while warm Sometimes it would not shut down completely Black screen with keyboard backlight active The root cause turned out to be solder joint degradation under the CPU, caused by the well-known black compound used by Lenovo under Legion processors. Over time, thermal cycling and compound hardening lead to micro-fractures in critical clock routing connections.
