🚗🇨🇦 6-Day Road Trip Across Canada | Toronto to Vancouver Adventure February 10, 2025 to February 16, 2025 Join us on an unforgettable cross-Canada road trip from Toronto all the way to Vancouver—a 6-day journey filled with incredible landscapes, long drives, unexpected challenges, and moments we’ll never forget. We drove 10–12 hours each day, taking breaks for gas, snacks, washrooms, and stretching—always making sure to rest overnight at hotels before hitting the road again. Our adventure started with a dramatic first night: ❄️ A heavy snowstorm along Lake Superior between Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie had us crawling through whiteout conditions. Thankfully, we made it safely to our first hotel near Wawa by carefully following a snowplow clearing the road ahead of us. From there, the weather turned in our favor: ☀️ Bright skies and sunshine welcomed us as we continued toward Thunder Bay, driving through winding mountain roads with uphill climbs and sweeping downhill slopes. As we crossed into the Prairies: 🌾 Manitoba to Alberta offered endless flat landscapes, wide open skies, and some of the smoothest stretches of the trip. Although, tempretures dropped to -40 degrees Celcius in Winnipeg. Make sure you are warm enough before getting out of the car. Approaching the West: 🏔️ The Rocky Mountains returned as we entered Alberta and British Columbia—along with fresh snowfall and icy patches that kept us alert. The drive into Kamloops was especially intense: hilly terrain, no road barriers, and nightfall slowly creeping in. Safety was always a priority. 👮 Thanks to my father-in-law’s advice (a former police officer), we constantly checked live road and street cameras to plan our route and stay ahead of weather changes. It helped a lot throughout the trip. As you watch this video, you'll notice it’s presented in a dashcam-style format to avoid any copyright issues.
