Ian Gourley, GrainGrowers speaks about carbon and how it relates to cropping operations. Ian Gourley is a grower / director, a second generation grain grower in North West NSW. Ian has over 25 years’ experience in the grain industry and has been a part of GrainGrowers National Policy Group, president of Dryland Cotton Research Association since its inception in 2014 and heavily involved in the Northern Grower Alliance establishment. Having worked across many areas of the grain industry including research, production, transport and marketing, Ian has had the chance the view the industry from many different perspectives. This presentation was given at the ‘Is measuring carbon good for business?’ event series held in Moree and Tamworth in November 2024. This event was supported by Local Land Services and the SQNNSW Innovation Hub through funding from the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund.
